In our women's shoe store blog we want to explain how to correctly measure the heel of a shoe.

The heel height of a shoe is measured from the base of the heel to the beginning of the heel counter. It should always be measured from the central part of either side.

The heel flap should always be excluded from the measurement.

The heel height will vary depending on the number, taking number 37 as a reference.

Errors when measuring the cm of a heel

There are people who mistakenly measure the height by the inside or outside of the heel and these measurements are not the ones that rise from the ground to the base of the heel. This height would be lower and the outside would be higher.
